Suspension. The IRS unit uses the Ford? 8.8
center section with Ford? hub carriers. The IRS uses
poly bushings throughout. The lower control use arms
connect to the chassis with heim joints providing
complete adjustability making the alignment a breeze.
The upper control arms mount to the chassis using two
links that form a V shape. This provides for excellent
strength and stability compared to a single tube upper
control arm system. The unit is housed in a cage system
that adds rigidity to the chassis as well as making the
install a very straight forward operation. The IRS
option price includes our $525 limited slip upgrade. The
center section is completely rebuilt with the gear ratio
of your choice.
The IRS unit is complete from rotor to rotor. This
option can be ordered with new kit purchases or can be
retrofitted to existing solid axle kits.
